Enjoyed meeting a beautiful American Pelican couple over the weekend… They were quite distant, on a sandbar in the river… it took about 30 minutes to ease up close enough to get some good shots without spooking them… elegant birds in flight with a wing span of up to 9 feet… beautiful on the water… a bit “silly” on land… regardless, they put a smile on your face.
